I offer a fast and reliable identification and sorting service of wet and dry preserved invertebrate specimens. This includes bulk material collected from passive field techniques such as: Malaise, Water, Interception and Pitfall Traps. You can post wet or dry preserved specimens to me, and I will send them back to you when projects are completed.
Standard services include initial sorting of samples from traps and segregation of invertebrate specimens into their major taxonomic groups or client-specified hierarchy. This will ensure that specimens are correctly assigned to their taxonomic group which will save time and money when sent on to group specialists. Furthermore, I specialize in identifying selected families of Diptera (True Flies), Coleoptera (Beetles) and Aculeate Hymenoptera (Bees, wasps, and ants). I can also arrange for other invertebrate groups to be identified by other group specialists.
Finally, I can provide Excel spreadsheets of species lists, conservation status and relevant ecological information included. Further analysis can be carried out tailored to your needs.
Whether you need to boost your entomological capacity, enhance your ecological research, or comply with environmental legislation, I am confident I can provide you with accurate and timely identification and analysis of your invertebrate samples.
Please do get in touch to discuss any projects you have in mind. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you.
